We are pleased to advise that our masjid is Going Green!

Our decision to move over from the municipal supply of electricity to a purely solar based model, is being made due to a culmination of the inefficient and inconsistent municipal supply of electricity together with our long-term objective to reduce the monthly utility expenditure of the masjid.

More importantly it is our religious responsibility to protect and preserve the earth and the natural resources with which we have been blessed. Unfortunately, we often overlook and inadvertently take these blessings for granted.

We humbly request your support for this campaign and your supplication to Allah SWT for its success.

We welcome all financial contributions as every rand counts. Our campaign will try to achieve contributions equal to the installation cost of 1000 solar panels which will make up the total requirement for our Solar project.

Indeed, we pray that every rand spent for this noble cause, will be multiplied by Almighty Allah exponentially as He has stated in the Glorious Qur’an, the meaning of which is:

The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way is as the likeness of a grain which grows seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah grants increase manifold to whom He wills. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.

May Allah reward all those who contribute and participate in this endeavour and grant them Barakah in Dunya and Akhirah. Aameen.
